Nursery Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Nurse to join our vibrant early years team in a school nursery setting in Wigan. Working with children aged 0-5 years, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years education and care in line with the EYFS framework, supporting children''s development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a safe, caring, stimulating environment that promotes learning through play and supports all areas of child development.Observe, assess, and record children''s progress, contributing to individual learning plans and reporting to parents and senior staff.Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate, engaging activities linked to the EYFS.Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent, trauma-informed approaches.Establish warm and responsive relationships with children and their families.Ensure all safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.Work collaboratively with colleagues, SEN specialists, and external professionals to support children with additional needs.RequirementsLevel 2/3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).Experience working in a nursery or early years school setting (0-5 years preferred).Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.A warm, empathetic, and professional approach ..... full job details .....
