Pertemps Croydon is seeking a Nursery Nurse for temporary assignments in Tulse Hill, paying £13.91 per hour. This role involves supporting child development within nursery and children’s centre settings across South East London. Working patterns are flexible, with options ranging from day-to-day supply to long-term placements. You will plan activities, ensure welfare, and maintain safeguarding standards. Suitable for both qualified professionals and those newly certified. A dedicated consultant provides ongoing support. Prior experience is valued, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply. This position offers varied exposure across multiple educational environments.

Job Description
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within early years settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning through play and structured activities
- Promoting children's physical, emotional, and social development
- Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Observing, monitoring, and recording children's progress
- Adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and setting policies at all times
- Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
- Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience working within nurseries or children's centres
- Experience supporting children from birth to five years
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development
- Flexibility and adaptability across different settings
