The Learning ExperienceThis dual-role position is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene across the nursery and supporting the Chef with meal service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for children and staff while also performing kitchen duties.Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:Ensure all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, and communal spaces, are cleaned to the highest standard.Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and equipment in line with nursery policies.Manage laundry duties, including washing and drying nursery towels, cleaning cloths and stocking them.Ensure that all toilets are regularly cleaned, well-stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and maintained throughout the day.Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when stock replenishment is needed.Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for children and staff.Kitchen Assistance Duties:Support the Chef during meal service by assisting with food preparation and delivering meals to the rooms.Wash and sanitise kitchenware, including dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas.Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.Assist with keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with nursery policies.Support the safe storage of food and kitchen supplies.What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.Previous experience in a cleaning role would be an advantage.Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is beneficial.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and parents.Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or kitchen assistant role (preferred).Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations (or willingness to undertake training).What We Offer
