Nursery Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, healthy and nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children.
• Provide varied and appealing meals using fresh ingredients.
• Safely cater for allergies, intolerances and individual dietary requirements.
• Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Follow appropriate food storage, preparation and cross-contamination procedures.
• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organised and compliant.
• Support children''s health, wellbeing and positive relationship with food.

• Experience preparing and cooking food, ideally within a nursery, school, childcare or similar setting.
• Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, allergens, dietary requirements and cross-contamination.
• Confidence preparing healthy and balanced meals for young children.
• Organised, dependable and comfortable working independently.
• A calm, friendly and positive approach, with pride in preparing fresh, wholesome food.

• £14–£18 per hour.
• Monday–Friday, 10:00am–1:00pm.
