Nursery Assistant – Flexible Hours

TeacherActive is currently working with a number of fantastic nurseries and Early Years settings and is looking to recruit reliable, enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join our growing team.

The Role

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool or Early Years setting is essential

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential

• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through TeacherActive)

• Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Practitioners in delivering high-quality care and education

• Assist in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children

• Engage children in fun and educational activities throughout the day

• Help with daily routines, including mealtimes, playtime, personal care and outdoor activities

• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety within the nursery

• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

• Be flexible to work across different rooms and age groups as required

• Work collaboratively as part of the nursery team to provide outstanding care
