Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 & Level 3

Location: TQ12 – Newton Abbot, Torquay & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £14.25 – £16.00 per hour
Contract: Flexible / Day-to-Day / Short-Term / Long-Term

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a variety of welcoming nurseries and Early Years settings across TQ12, Newton Abbot, Torquay and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our growing team, with opportunities available for an immediate start.

Whether you''re looking for occasional shifts, regular weekly work or longer-term placements, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years

• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting

• Ability to drive and reliably commute to nursery settings across TQ12 and surrounding areas

• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework

• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach to working with children

• Confidence supporting children from babies through to preschool age

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to adapt to different nursery environments

• Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential)

• Supporting children''s learning and development through creative, play-based activities

• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care

• Encouraging children''s independence, confidence and communication skills

• Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery teams

• Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS guidelines

• Working collaboratively with nursery staff to provide high-quality childcare

• Competitive pay of £14.25 – £16.00 per hour
