TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small, friendly nursery in LS29 that is committed to providing a warm, welcoming environment for every child. The nursery benefits from a fantastic forest school area, encouraging outdoor exploration and learning while promoting confidence, independence and curiosity.

The nursery is looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant on a long-term, part time basis, working 4 days per week with an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will primarily support children with Autism, working closely with the nursery team to deliver engaging activities, encourage communication and social development, and provide consistent, individualised support throughout the day.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable
• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD within an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
