TeacherActive has built a long-standing relationship with a welcoming and well-established nursery setting in Chelmsford and is currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual who is passionate about supporting young children in their early years development. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced practitioners, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children.

The Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Support the daily care, learning and development of children within the nursery.

• Assist in delivering fun and engaging activities that promote children''s development.

• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.

• Support children during play, mealtimes and daily routines.

• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

• Assist practitioners in observing and monitoring children''s progress.

• Promote children''s wellbeing, independence and confidence.

• Ensure nursery policies and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

• Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, health and safety throughout the setting.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Previous experience working with children in a nursery, childcare or educational setting.

• A caring, patient and positive attitude.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.

• A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development.

• A relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
