About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant in Sutton, you will join Pertemps Croydon’s flexible supply pool, providing cover across local nurseries and early years rooms. This temporary position, paying £12.71 per hour, offers choice over your working days, with shifts allocated on an ad-hoc or short-term basis, potentially leading to longer placements. Duties span baby, toddler, and preschool settings, involving play-based learning, supervision, and routine care. You will require a solid grasp of safeguarding and child development, ideally supported by a Level 2 qualification or six months of nursery experience. This role suits practitioners seeking consistent work with greater control over their schedule.
We are looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our flexible supply pool. This is ideal for practitioners who want choice over the days they work while still gaining consistent experience across Early Years setting.
About the role:
- Flexible supply work across nurseries and early years rooms
- Work offered on an ad-hoc or short-term basis, depending on your availability (can also lead to longer term roles)
- Support across baby, toddler and preschool rooms as needed
- General support duties including play-based learning, supervision, routine care and working as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and age-appropriate practice
- Level 2, Early Years qualification is highly desirable or a minimum of 6 months experience within a nursery setting
- Ability to adapt quickly to different routines and environments
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
