Nursery Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children in their early development? We are working with a very welcoming and inclusive Children''s Centre based in Islington, and they are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to work with their children aged 0-5 years old.This is a long-term position starting as soon as possible on a full-time basis with the potential to continue for the next academic year. The Nursery offers flexible shifts between the hours of 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm.Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you have previous experience working within an Early Years setting, and holding a Level 3 childcare qualification (or similar) is very desirable.Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant:Provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children aged 0-5.Support children''s physical, emotional, and social development through play and age-appropriate activities.Assist with daily routines, including feeding, changing, and sleeping.Monitor and record children''s development and progress.What we''re looking for:Level 3 qualification in Childcare is desirable (but not essential if you have experience in a similar setting)Experience working with babies in an early year setting.A warm, patient, and engaging approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children''s wellbeing.Why Horizon Teachers:We are currently having our busiest year and placing more teachers and support staff than ..... full job details .....
