Nursery Assistant Location: Canterbury, Kent Job Type: Temporary (Potential for Extension) Pay Rate: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour DOE Start Date: Beginning of September About the Role Do you have a current Enhanced DBS certificate with a Children''s Barred List check? Do you hold a Level 3 Nursery or Early Years qualification (or equivalent)? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant / Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly nursery setting in Canterbury, Kent. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children''s learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day care and education of children aged 0-5 years. Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework. Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. Observe and record children''s development and progress. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times. Support children''s personal care needs where required. Promote children''s social, emotional, physical, and educational development. Requirements Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (essential).
