This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Room Manager to take the next step in their career or a current Deputy looking to take on a new exciting role. The day-to-day role will include supporting the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the Nursery, whilst providing and ensuring a safe, stimulating and educational environment for the children and staff.
Job Overview
Supporting the nursery teams with In-room practice
Activity Planning - develop and implement engaging and educational activities
Observations - conduct and document child and peer-to-peer observations
Maintain and update child reports and our online learning journal (I-Connect)
Parent consultations - arrange and conduct regular child progress meetings
Displays on site - update, review, refine
Lunch covers management - Oversee and supervise as necessary to ensure all children are well supervise
Nursery stock
Relationship management - foster and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
On site monitoring - monitor and and report on-site operational aspects such as utilities
Ofsted-readiness - assist Manager in preparing for inspections, including updates to the EYFS framework
*Qualifications* - Experience working with young children in a Nursery setting at least for 3 years prior- A recognised qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education - Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written - Leadership qualities to guide and support other staff members - Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining an organised approach
