Nursery Assistant / Child Care practitioner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic-Nursery Assistant-to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education. The Nursery Assistant will work closely with experienced staff to promote the development and well-being of each child.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
• Support the management team in daily administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
• A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young children effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. We welcome applicants who are eager to contribute positively to our nursery environment while developing their skills in childcare.

These are permanent roles working Monday to Friday- and can be flexible to cover earlier starts or later finishes.
