Location: Oxford, OX1
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months (maternity cover)
Hours: Full-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd is currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming Montessori nursery setting in Oxford on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Working as part of a dedicated Montessori team, you will help create a calm, purposeful and nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, concentration, independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

This is a hands-on role where you will support children''s care, learning and development on a day-to-day basis, while helping to maintain the nursery environment and supporting practical life activities and everyday routines.

You will work closely with the room''s Guides and contribute positively to the smooth running of the setting.

• Support children''s care, learning and development throughout the day
• Help create a calm, purposeful and nurturing environment
• Support Montessori practical life activities and everyday routines
• Work closely with the room''s Guides and wider Montessori team
• Help maintain a well-organised and engaging learning environment
• Observe and respond appropriately to children''s individual needs and interests
• Take responsibility for tasks and contribute to the smooth running of the room
• Maintain a warm, professional and child-centred approach at all times

• A minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification is desirable
• A Montessori qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
• Previous Early Years or nursery experience would be beneficial
• A clean driving licence would be useful

• Genuinely likes and respects young children
• Is observant, curious and willing to learn
• Understands the importance of consistency, thought and attention to detail in Early Years practice
• Works warmly and professionally as part of a team
• Is comfortable taking responsibility and using their initiative
• Is committed to developing their knowledge and Early Years practice
• Has a genuine interest in supporting children''s independence, confidence and development
