Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (Band 6+) Join a Dynamic Primary Care Team We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Band 6 or above) with an Independent Prescribing qualification to join our expanding urgent primary care service. This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing same-day assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients presenting with urgent and undifferentiated conditions. You''ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while helping reduce unnecessary hospital admissions. The Role As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner, you will: Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with minor illness, minor injuries and urgent care needs. Provide same-day face-to-face and telephone consultations. Triage patients and determine the most appropriate treatment or referral pathway. Independently prescribe medications within your scope of practice. Request and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations. Deliver evidence-based care in line with national guidance and clinical best practice. Refer patients to secondary care or other healthcare services where appropriate. Promote health education, disease prevention and self-management. Maintain accurate electronic patient records and clinical documentation. Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within your competence. Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities. Work ..... full job details .....
