We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected London law firm for a Newly Qualified (0 – 1 PQE) Solicitor to join their specialist Court of Protection Property and Affairs team. This is an outstanding opportunity to build a career in a niche and rewarding area of law.The successful candidate will work alongside experienced solicitors managing deputyship and estate administration matters, providing an essential service to vulnerable individuals and their families. The firm offers a hybrid working arrangement, private medical insurance, and a structured career development pathway.Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of Court of Protection Property and Affairs matters under supervision, including:Preparing and submitting deputyship applications to the Court of ProtectionStatutory will applicationsAssisting in the administration of high-value estatesDraft legal documents, reports, and client correspondence in a clear and professional mannerInvestigations of any financial abuseSupport senior solicitors on complex or contested deputyship casesMaintain accurate financial records and ensure strict compliance with Court of Protection rulesProvide empathetic and professional client service, building trusted relationships with clients, their families, and external professionalsCandidate Requirements
Qualified Solicitor (0–1 PQE) or due to qualify within the next 6 monthsStrong interest or prior experience in Court of Protection Property and Affairs, Private Client, or related financial administration workExcellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle a varied caseload efficientlyStrong numeracy skills and commercial awareness relating to property and financial mattersExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a sensitive and professional approach to vulnerable clientsProactive team player with a willingness to learn and develop within a specialist departmentHybrid working model (Central London office and hybrid working flexibility)Private medical insurance and comprehensive benefits packagePension scheme and generous holiday entitlementStructured professional development and mentoring from industry-leading specialistsOpportunity to work on complex, high-value deputyship matters in a well-respected teamAdditional Details
