Health Care Assistant needed in NHS JobsAbout the Job:At Birmingham Hospice our teams are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families and loved ones during one of the most challenging periods they will ever face.We have opportunities for caring, compassionate, and committed Health Care Assistants (HCA) to join our In-Patient Unit Team at our Selly Park Hospice.As an HCA you will work as member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver hands-on high-quality palliative and end of life care to our patients and their families in accordance with our values. You will be required to have competent clinical skills to ensure a safe environment for our patients and their families. You will also need to be sensitive to the spiritual, psychological and social needs of our patients and their families.Our requirements:Level 2 NVQ in health or social care or show a willingness to work towards.Experience of working in a care role in the health care sector and/or other care related experienceCompetent in English and Maths (up to GCSE level or equivalent)The ability to work flexibly over a 7-day rota and multi-site workGood communication skills both written and verbalCompetent IT skills including use of databases, email, and WordMain duties of the job
