Northern Ireland Immigration Adviser and Community Outreach Assistant
We are looking for an empathetic, dedicated Immigration Adviser and Community Outreach Assistant to improve respect for migrants'' human rights in Northern Ireland. In this role, you will provide immigration advice to migrants facing discrimination, harassment or other harms in Northern Ireland. You will also help RSI reach out to and learn from communities and local organisations. RSI has an established immigration advice service for migrants in Northern Ireland who are most in need of urgent, free advice and casework. You must either: Already be qualified as an immigration adviser at Level 1 or higher via the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), OR Have experience with advice services or casework, and be willing to study for and sit the IAA Level 1 exam. (RSI will provide an appropriate amount of paid study time.) If you are not IAA-qualified but have knowledge of UK immigration law, such as through coursework, please let us know. Qualified solicitors based in Northern Ireland are also welcome to apply. Alongside advice and casework, this role includes outreach to a range of migrant communities in Northern Ireland, to understand their needs, support activism and inform people about advice services that are available.
