1:1 MENTOR OPPORTUNITY - NORTH WALESAre you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and re-engage with education?Spencer Clarke Group is currently looking for compassionate, dedicated and experienced Mentors to provide personalised 1:1 support to young people across North Wales. The young people we support may be:Out of mainstream educationStruggling with attendance or school refusalExperiencing anxiety or SEMH needsDiagnosed with ASD or ADHDLiving with additional learning needs or EHCP requirementsExperiencing difficulties with confidence, motivation or emotional regulationFinding traditional school settings challengingAs a 1:1 Mentor, you will build positive and trusting relationships with young people, helping them develop confidence, improve engagement and work towards their personal goals. You will provide consistent encouragement, support emotional wellbeing and help learners overcome barriers that may be affecting their education and everyday lives. What we''re looking for:Minimum of 1 year''s experience working with children or young peopleExperience in mentoring, youth work, education, pastoral support or a similar roleExperience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH or additional needsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA patient, empathetic and adaptable approachAbility to encourage positive behaviour, confidence and engagementUnderstanding of barriers to education, including anxiety and school ..... full job details .....
