Night Support Worker

We are seeking a passionate and caring Female Night Support Worker to join our client’s team, providing support to a female client in her own home in the Winsford area. This is a permanent position with a rota of 4 nights one week, 3 the next.
Key Responsibilities of this Night Support Worker role:

• Provide 1:1 support to a female client, assisting with personal care and daily living activities in her own home.
• Encourage independence, ensuring the client has the opportunity to make decisions about her care.
• Promote a positive and engaging environment with friendly conversation, helping to alleviate feelings of isolation.
• Assist with any night-time routines and ensure the client is comfortable and safe throughout the night.
• Record and monitor client progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Follow the client's care plan, ensuring all aspects of their care are met in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations during the night shift.
• Help with light household duties and ensure the home remains a clean and welcoming environment.
• Be proactive in engaging with the client, showing empathy and building a strong, trusting relationship.

Skills & Experience required for this Night Support Worker role:

• Experience in support work or a similar caregiving role, preferably within supported living.
• Caring nature and a compassionate attitude, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be chatty and outgoing while maintaining professionalism.
• Experience supporting individuals with varied needs, including those with physical or learning disabilities, will be an advantage.
• DBS check is essential (can be completed upon application).
• Ability to attend training ASAP and a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
• A genuine desire to make a difference in someone's life.

Details of this Night Support Worker role:

• Location: Winsford, Cheshire
• Hourly rate: £13.20ph
• Shifts: 20:00-08:00
• Contract: Permanent, 4 nights one week, 3 nights the next
• The role is female-only due to the nature of the role and client request.
• Must be available to work nights, including some weekends, on a rotating basis.
• Training and support will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for the role.
