The successful applicant will be required to set-up and operate: Automatic Platen Cutting Machine.Responsibilities and DutiesMaking ready jobs for die-cutting.Inspect die for any damage and ensure it is safely locked into chase prior to lifting into machineAdjust front and side lays to obtain best fit to printed sheetPrepare, make ready sheet, matrix and Braille if neededDuring make-ready process, check for marks, burst creases and squareness of carton and make any necessary adjustmentsPatch-up make ready sheet as necessarySet up the feed board, wheels and brushes, trips, detectors and photo-electric cellsEnsure printed sheets are free from markingSet stripping unitSet up deliveryMake running adjustments as appropriateCarry out pre make ready as requiredComply with the Quality Assurance standard operating procedures, including in-process inspection documentation, at all timesOverlook the running of other cut crease machines within the departmentProvide training to less skilled operators/trainees as requiredEnsure adherence ..... full job details .....
