Night Shift Team LeaderWorking Hours: Midnight till 9am, Monday to Friday.Basic Annual Salary Range: £32,000 to £38,000 (annual profit share and bonuses are also available).Equivalent Hourly Pay Rate: £15 to £18 per hourBased just outside of Southampton (accessible by public transport)Full-time temporary to permanent opportunity.Job Overview:Supervise the activity of the warehouse team to ensure the night shift''s tasks are achieved on time. Ensure that all orders are picked, processed, invoiced, and packaged correctly, on time. Identify and resolve problems as they arise throughout the day and communicate with the Administration and Sales to resolve problems and issues. Ensure staff are always aware of what they are expected to do (and the reasons why). Plan the next day''s delivery loads. Help apply an induction programme on the basic skills for new recruits. Help cross train staff in all warehouse disciplines. Assist with the purchasing of packing materials and other consumables, e.g. tools, gloves, saw blades, working to a pre-agreed budget. Help to make improvements in efficiency in the warehouse, regarding effective use of warehouse space, racking, machinery, and equipment. Assist and support the warehouse manager and assume responsibility in his absence. Follow and apply the established warehouse systems (e.g. loading, off-loading, labelling, picking, collections etc.). Train warehouse personnel to follow established systems and procedures.
