Night Shift Manager

Alexander Steele Recruitment are working with an established food manufacturing business based in Hertfordshire, who are seeking an experienced Shift Production Manager to join their team.

This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing night shift production, food safety and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site''s health and safety agenda, investigating and closing out accidents, near misses and RIDDOR reports to eliminate risk
• Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP and product specifications, working closely with the QA team
• Oversee day-to-day production, holding daily briefings with team leaders to review performance and resolve operational issues
• Monitor KPIs including OEE%, labour hours and delivery targets, driving efficiency through Total Lean Culture (TLC) tools
• Manage labour, raw material and production costs, producing daily variance reports and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Lead, develop and coach a team of Team Leaders and Setters, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
• Drive employee engagement, ensuring fair and transparent management of absence, lateness and holiday
• Conduct performance reviews and development plans, supporting continuous improvement and career progression

On Offer

• Up to -44,500 p.a. - depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 10.30pm - 7am
