Job Title Maintenance Engineer Night Shift Location Central Manchester, UK (On-site role) Employment Type Full-Time, Permanent Shift pattern: 6pm-6am, 4 days per week - may include weekend shifts. Salary and Benefits Base salary: £40,000-£48,000 per annum Pension: Auto-enrolled with NEST Holiday Entitlement: 28 days annually (including bank holidays) Laptop: Provided Parking: Free onsite parking Other: Opportunity to work with a long-established local bakery known for its commitment to quality and community Role Summary We re looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in Manchester. You ll ensure production machinery is maintained, repaired, and running efficiently to minimise downtime across a busy baking and packaging operation. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on bakery production machinery including mixers, ovens, conveyors, and packaging lines Rapidly respond to and resolve machinery breakdowns and faults Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and apply effective solutions Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and updates in compliance with food safety standards Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and operational efficiency Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and hygiene protocols Collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams during handovers and day-to-day operations Skills and ..... full job details .....
