Adept:us are excited to have partnered with a reputable manufacturing business that are part of a widely recognised retail group. Based in Southampton, they are seeking a multi skilled maintenance engineer to join their night shift team, on a full time, permanen basis

The Role:

As part of the maintenance engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure all production and process machinery operates efficiently. Your key tasks will include:

  • Reactive Maintenance: Swiftly respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Planned Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure the equipment remains reliable and functions smoothly.
  • Equipment Support: Assist with the installation and modification of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide training, coaching, and support to production and operational staff.

The Requirements:

  • Qualified to level 3 in an engineering discipline. (or part qualified)
  • Strong mechanical or electrical skills, ideally gained in a manufacturing based maintenance role, but we are open to considering a range of backgrounds
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and/or electrical systems
