About the Role
This Night General Operator role is based in Swindon, offering up to £18.43 per hour on a temporary contract. Working Monday to Friday from 23:00 to 07:00, you will join a pharmaceutical manufacturer, supporting packaging and production within a regulated cleanroom. Duties include manual packing of items, adhering to strict gowning protocols, handling materials, and performing stock checks. You will also clean equipment and production zones, conduct line clearance and label verification, and maintain accurate records in line with GMP standards. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential for this position.
General Operator (Night Shift) - Swindon
Pay: £13.86 per hour + 33% shift allowance (£18.43 per hour incl.)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 23:00-07:00
We are recruiting for a General Operator to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a regulated cleanroom environment where quality, safety, and attention to detail are essential. You will support packaging and manufacturing operations while ensuring full compliance with GMP standards.
Key responsibilities include: manual packing of pharmaceutical products, following SOPs for cleanroom gowning and cleaning, material handling, stock and consumables checks, cleaning equipment and production areas, line clearance and labelling checks, completing accurate documentation in line with data integrity requirements, reporting non-conformances, and maintaining strict health, safety and GMP compliance.
What we''re looking for: GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, strong attention to detail, ability to stay focused, good communication skills, ability to follow written procedures, and a reliable, self-motivated attitude. Experience in pharmaceutical, food production, or other regulated environments is desirable, along with knowledge of GMP/GDP and cleanroom practices.
