NHS 111 Dental Nurse - All Sites

Overview

We are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our motivated, friendly, and hardworking team of Clinicians based within our three sites: Otterbourne, Bicester and Milton Keynes to support the smooth running of our Dental Advisory Service and work on a flexible ad-hoc basis.Working within this role you will carry out complex clinical telephone triage in a sensitive manner providing assessment, advice, and information in line with clinical pathways whilst utilising your knowledge, experience, and professional judgement, referring to other services where appropriate. To work as an autonomous dental practitioner and provide high quality complex dental triage using knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and professional judgement supported by clinical templates and guidelines. To review incoming symptom based dental calls and information calls and telephone enquiries and assess for urgency and priority. To provide dental advice supported by clinical templates/ clinical protocols and facilitate onward referral to other professionals if required. To communicate clinical information verbally and via technical links with health economy partners to ensure continuity of care for the caller. To work towards service delivery targets, clinical indicators, and national and locally negotiated targets. To attend and actively participate in regular management meetings and work with the line manager to improve and/or consistently maintain performance. Successful candidates will be required to complete a one-week fulltime training programme, covering internal systems, NHS pathways assessments and call centre mentoring, followed by ''buddy'' shifts until safe to work solo. We offer continued support throughout this role.
