If you''ve ever walked around a major supermarket or high street retailer and looked at the shelving, display units, entry systems and shopfitting around you, you''ll have a good idea of the kind of products you''d be working on.What the role involvesYou''ll be taking new bespoke retail fixtures and fittings from initial customer brief through prototype build, physical testing and final sign-off. Alongside that you''ll be carrying out quality control inspections on incoming products, checking finished articles against specification and conducting spot checks on ongoing supply.Day to day you could be involved in: Inspecting products for quality of welding, paint finish, woodwork, fastenings and surface finishBuilding and running physical tests including topple testing, weight loading, push and pullDeveloping and documenting test methods in line with relevant British StandardsVisiting manufacturers to check quality at source and provide ..... full job details .....
