Social Worker Pre-Birth and Newborn Family Help Team Job Type: Temporary Service: Children s Social Care Family Help About the Role We are recruiting experienced Social Workers to join our newly formed Pre-Birth and Newborn Family Help Team. The team works alongside expectant parents and families with newborn babies, providing timely support, building resilience and promoting positive outcomes from the earliest stages of a child s life. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker who is passionate about early intervention, strengths-based practice and supporting families to create lasting change. Key Responsibilities As a Social Worker within the Pre-Birth and Newborn Family Help Team, you will: Manage a varied caseload of expectant parents and families with newborn babies. Undertake high-quality assessments, planning and reviews. Work collaboratively with parents and carers to identify strengths, needs and solutions. Support families to overcome challenges and prevent family breakdown. Assess and manage risk appropriately, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of babies and families. Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, carers and partner agencies. Deliver purposeful interventions that achieve sustainable positive outcomes. Work independently while adapting your approach to complex or unusual cases.
