Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 client for a Sub Agent to join their team delivering airside roads packages at Heathrow Airport.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced site engineer or Sub Agent with a highways or roads background to work on live airside infrastructure at one of the busiest airports in the world, gaining valuable experience delivering civils works within a tightly controlled operational environment.

The Role

You'll support the Agent in the day-to-day delivery of airside road construction, resurfacing and associated civils works, coordinating subcontractors, plant and site teams while working closely with airfield operations to plan works around live aircraft movements and possession windows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising airside roads works on site, including sub-base, base, binder and surface course construction, kerbing, drainage and line marking
• Coordinating with airfield operations and Heathrow escorts to plan and manage works within agreed possession and access windows
• Coordinating subcontractors, plant and site teams to keep works progressing safely and to programme
• Overseeing setting out, quality control, and compaction/testing records for road pavement layers
• Ensuring RAMS, permits and airside access requirements are in place and adhered to before works commence
• Managing traffic management and plant movements safely within a live, operational airside environment
• Maintaining site diaries, progress records and quality documentation in line with project and client requirements
• Monitoring health, safety, security and environmental compliance across all airside activities
• Attending site meetings and reporting progress, risks and any technical issues to the Agent/Senior Agent

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Site Engineer or similar, ideally with a highways/roads or airfield pavements background
• Understanding of road construction methods and materials (sub-base, base, binder/surface course, kerbing, drainage, line marking)
• Experience working on live, operational or highly regulated sites is advantageous; airside/Heathrow experience a strong plus
• Relevant qualifications: Civil Engineering degree or equivalent site experience, SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card
• Strong H&S focus and ability to manage subcontractors and plant safely within a live airside environment
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable liaising with airfield operations and working within strict airport security and operational constraints
• Willingness to undergo airside vetting and obtain an airside pass
