The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.ABOUT THE ROLE and TEAMAs a Network Solutions Engineer at SITA, you will play a hands-on role across the full lifecycle of network solution designfrom scoping and requirements gathering to documentation, standard and non-standard design creation, guidance on delivery to the customer. You will collaborate closely with commercial, delivery, and technical support teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs within the dynamic environment of Heathrow Airport.Youll join a team led by the Technical Services Manager and act as a key technical voice in shaping network solutions that directly impact mission-critical airport operations. This is a customer-facing role that requires both technical depth and the ability to clearly communicate value.WHAT YOULL DOLead technical scoping sessions with internal teams and customers to define business and technical requirementsRecommend and secure adaptations to pre-defined solutions to align with customer-specific needsRepresent SITA as the lead technical point of contact, collaborating with commercial and project teams throughout the engagementClosely collaborate with commercial and project colleagues to create proposals and supporting documentationTranslate approved proposals into robust, scalable network designs ready for implementationProvide early life support and ensure a smooth handover to operations teamsWork closely with operations colleagues to ensure a seamless transitionContribute to product roadmaps to help evolve SITAs network solution offerings that meet the customer needsServe as the technical representative during customer engagements, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focusQualificationsABOUT YOUR SKILLS35 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, solution design, or delivery and support of networking solutions with a proven track record in producing, communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutionsBachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent extensive experience in the IT, Network or Telco industry.Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (CCNA or CCNP certification a strong plus)Solid expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, network security architecture, and wireless technologies (Aruba WLAN, ClearPass)Proven ability to work cross-functionally with pre-sales, delivery, and operational teamsGood presentation skillsconfident in articulating and defending design decisions to customersExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlinesHighly skilled in technical documentation for designs, solutions, and implementationSelf-motivated team player who takes initiative and thrives in a goal-driven environmentNICE-TO-HAVETechnical certification (current or expired) in one or more of the following: Palo Alto Networks; Cisco Networking (LAN); Cisco Data Centre (ACI and Nexus); Cisco NCS; AVI Load Balancer; Aruba WLAN; ClearPassWHAT WE OFFERWere all about diversity.
