Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineering Specialist to join our clients growing IT team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and developing network and infrastructure systems across multiple sites. You''ll play a key role in ensuring business-critical systems remain secure, reliable, and high-performing while providing expert support and technical guidance.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure and maintain network connectivity including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN and Wi-Fi environments.Configure, monitor and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, servers and business applications.Administer VMware virtual environments alongside Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.Monitor network performance, diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.Maintain network security through patch management, firmware updates and cybersecurity best practices.Manage backup and disaster recovery processes to minimise downtime.Support and deliver IT infrastructure projects from design through to implementation.Act as an escalation point for complex technical support issues and advanced troubleshooting.Maintain accurate technical documentation including network diagrams, configurations and procedures.Follow change management processes and IT best practices.Travel to multiple sites as required.Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Participate in a limited on-call rota (Saturday ..... full job details .....
