The Role:
 
Our client is a leading global organisation and they are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing IT team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a large-scale infrastructure environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the performance, security, and reliability of business-critical network services.
 
Working across networking, telecommunications, security, and server infrastructure, you''ll be involved in both project delivery and BAU support, helping to ensure a resilient and high-performing technology environment.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments
• Managing network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and associated infrastructure
• Supporting and optimising VoIP and unified communications systems
• Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
• Troubleshooting complex connectivity and infrastructure issues
• Managing server connectivity and supporting core IT services
• Assisting with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
• Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners
• Maintaining accurate network documentation and technical records
• Contributing to network security initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
• Supporting infrastructure upgrades and technology improvement projects

The Person:
 

• Previous experience in a Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer position
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and enterprise networking technologies
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting VoIP solutions
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Experience working with routing, switching, and wireless technologies
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting server and infrastructure environments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
