Cisco Network Engineer - Firewall Remediation ProjectLocation: LondonContract: Inside IR35Rate: £350-£380 per daySector: Financial ServicesWe are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to support a firewall rule review and remediation project within a professional financial services environment.This is a hands-on role focused on reviewing, analysing and improving Cisco firewall rule sets in response to internal security and audit findings. You will work closely with IT Security, internal audit stakeholders and technology partners to ensure firewall policies are secure, well-documented and aligned with change management standards.This is a great opportunity for a network engineer with strong Cisco firewall, routing, switching and network security experience to deliver a focused security remediation project in a regulated enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, analyse and modify Cisco firewall rules in line with security and audit findings.Identify redundant, obsolete, overly permissive or non-compliant firewall rules.Carry out firewall policy reviews and recommend remediation actions.Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis before implementing firewall changes.Support the closure of network-related security audit findings.Document all firewall changes clearly for the BAU support team.Participate in change management processes and ensure work is completed to agreed standards.Work with internal IT Security, audit and infrastructure teams.Support ..... full job details .....
