Network Engineer

Hays are supporting a large public sector organisation in Gloucestershire to recruit a Voice-focused Network Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is paying up to 47kpa + on-call bonus and is hybrid, working typically 2 or 3 days per week on site. To be considered for this role, you''ll need to be eligible for security clearance. This role is primarily a Voice-focused Network Engineer position with broader networking responsibilities. The client is specifically looking for someone with strong voice telephony experience who can also support wider network infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain voice and network infrastructure.Network configuration, installation and maintenance.Incident diagnosis and fault resolution.Network monitoring and performance reporting.Hardware/software installation and upgrades.Backup and recovery activities.Helpdesk and escalated support.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 4).
