This role allows you to lead on technical design and through-life support while advancing your skills in a complex defence environment.The essentialsBritish nationality is required due to the sensitive nature of the work.Professional certification such as CCNP, CCNA, or Fortinet FCP.Extensive experience in network design and management across Cisco and Fortinet technologies.Eligibility to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting security clearance.Salary and rewards Competitive salary plus a company car allowance.Key responsibilitiesAct as a technical authority for the design, build, and commissioning of internal and customer networks.Maintain the integrity of network security through proactive management of firewalls and encryption protocols.Resolve complex routing and acceleration issues within long-latency network environments.Support the full lifecycle of bespoke products by producing detailed technical documentation and schematics.Skills and backgroundAdvanced knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.Strong proficiency with Cisco Routers and Switches using IOS-XE.Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, and VPN technologies.Familiarity with Linux environments and network monitoring tools.Proven ability to troubleshoot VoIP QoS and compression processes.Excellent communication skills ..... full job details .....
