Network Engineer 3757-1

Network Engineer required for full time on site role in Stevenage. Skillset/experience required:A career background in information technology.Demonstrable crypto experience, and strong knowledge of crypto best practice.Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center, ISE; Cisco best practice and CVDsDemonstrable knowledge of the OSI model.Strong understanding of network communication protocols including, but not limited to HSRP/ VRRP, HTTP/S, OSPF/BGP, SSL, TCP/IP.Experience with Windows Server/AD, Linux, RHEL and VMWare/vSphere.Self-motivated, ambitious and tenacious, with the ability to work under pressure.A structured approach to document management.Exposure to SDA principles and deployments.Authentication services.Network cabling fundamentals.Proficient in monitoring technologies such as Nagios, PRTG, Solarwinds. Responsibilities:Provide dedicated support at, but not limited to, the Stevenage site (Bolton and Bristol sites are also in scope), ensuring the effective delivery of DEx Network service in this high-profile environment.Own the remediation of any identified issues and risks, based on submitted reports and any other intelligence.Assist with the support of UK initiatives as part of the DEx Networks team.Build relationships with partners and external suppliers to optimise the service provided and play a substantial role in agreeing service levels to meet business need.Engage with the Security team to develop Security Reporting, risk analysis.Collaborate with the Service ..... full job details .....
