NetBackup Engineer - Veritas/Data Centre Our enterprise client is seeking an experienced NetBackup Engineer to support a smooth transition and minimise risk during an upcoming lift and shift activity. We require a Veritas certified engineer onsite throughout the migration.The work will take place over the May 2026 Bank Holiday weekends at a Data Centre in Romford. Start Date: May 2026Duration: 4-6 hours per day over each of the May Bank Holiday daysPay Rate: £278 p/dTotal Daily Earnings: £312 p/d (includes rolled up holiday)Employer NI: Paid by the clientIR35 Status: Inside IR35Location: Romford Data Centre Note: All work occurs within the same data centre. Migration is between data halls only-no external transport of equipment is required. Responsibilities: Manage cabling between storage shelves and appliances, ensuring both components power up correctly. Provide assistance and troubleshooting for any hardware errors encountered during the activity. Coordinate with the Data Centre Management team, who will handle all rack and stack activities. Essential Skills: Veritas NetBackup (certification strongly preferred) Desirable Skills: Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring junior consultants. Background in contributing to solution designs, technical bids, and project documentation. ServiceNow accreditations or certifications.
