Neighbourhood Officer

Location: Welwyn Garden City Rate: £29.50 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: Minimum 3 Months Hours: Full-Time We are currently seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join a busy local authority housing service in Welwyn Garden City. This is an exciting opportunity for a housing professional to deliver high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management services, supporting residents and helping to maintain safe, sustainable communities. Key Responsibilities Deliver an effective housing and tenancy management service across a designated patch. Manage tenancy issues, neighbourhood concerns and estate management matters. Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour cases. Conduct tenancy audits, sign-ups, home visits and estate inspections. Support vulnerable tenants and facilitate access to support services. Manage tenancy changes including successions and mutual exchanges. Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records and case management information. Work in partnership with residents, contractors and external agencies. Requirements Previous experience in housing management, tenancy management or a related field. Good understanding of housing legislation and tenancy enforcement. Experience managing challenging and sensitive casework. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.
