Job Title: Neighbourhood Coordinator Location: Southwark Council Job Purpose: The Neighbourhood Coordinator will play a key role in developing and delivering community action plans that reflect the needs and aspirations of local residents. Working across multiple stakeholder groups, including council services, elected members, and the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector, the postholder will coordinate neighbourhood engagement and ensure delivery of targeted initiatives that promote empowerment, cohesion, and sustainable development. Key Responsibilities Community Plan Development: Support the development of up to three community action plans using a consistent format and ensuring alignment and consensus among stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, ward councillors, service departments, and external partners to co-deliver community plans. Neighbourhood Engagement: Ensure broad community participation so plans are reflective of real issues, and foster inclusive engagement that mobilises community energy. Action Coordination: Oversee the implementation of action plans, ensuring timely, complete, and high-quality delivery while holding relevant parties accountable. Operational Support: Assist Lead Directors in the operational execution of each neighbourhood plan.
