NDT Technician
Shirley Parsons are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation within the defence sector to recruit an NDT Technician (Welding Biased) to join a growing Technical Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NDT professional looking to work on highly complex, safety-critical engineering products within a heavy engineering environment. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of inspection activities across weldments, forgings, machined components, pipework and fabricated structures, supporting major long-term defence programmes. Key Responsibilities: Carry out Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) and Visual Inspection activities across a range of engineering products. Conduct visual welding inspections and dimensional verification against engineering drawings and industry standards Analyse inspection results, identify defects and document findings accurately Raise and support the investigation of non-conformances and quality issues Work closely with welding, engineering and quality teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and compliance. Support quality control and inspection activities relating to welding, fabrication and non-destructive testing operations.
