Mpeople Recruitment are seeking an experienced Nationwide-Driver on behalf of our reputable client based in Salford.

Salary:30,000 - -35,000 per annum

Hours:-40 hours per week (plus-overtime)

Location:-Nationwide-(Salford based)

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering goods to customer sites throughout the UK, including locations across England, Scotland and Wales.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.
  • Load and unload goods where required, ensuring all materials are handled carefully and secured correctly for transport.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, allowing for traffic, delivery times and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and relevant vehicle documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers at delivery locations.
  • Safely operate a company van in accordance with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Be prepared for extensive nationwide travel and longer-distance journeys as required by the business.
  • Communicate effectively with the internal team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, delays or any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies and safe working procedures.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, presentable and roadworthy at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally whilst on customer sites and public roads.
  • Take responsibility for the safe transportation of goods and ensure products arrive at their destination in good condition.

The desired candidate would have the following experience:

  • Full UK driving licence - essential.
  • Previous professional van driving or multidrop/delivery driving experience.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
  • A good knowledge of UK roads and confidence driving long distances nationwide.
  • Good understanding of road transport regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable travelling extensively throughout the UK as part of the role.
  • Willingness to work additional hours and overtime where available.
