National Grid Competent Person (NSI 6 and 8 Full)Location: Walpole 400kV Substation, Walpole Bank, Walpole, PE14 7JEStart Date: 27th July 2026 - Minimum 5 months lengthHours: 07:30am - 5:30pmWeekend work may be available.We''re currently looking for an experienced National Grid Competent Person (NSI 6 and 8 Full) to join a major 400kV substation project at Walpole.This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term transmission project working alongside an experienced site team on essential civil engineering works within a live National Grid environment.Key Responsibilities:Accept safety documents from the National Grid SAPWork under National Grid procedures and ensure full compliance with site rulesSupervise and control works safely within your designated work areaFollow and manage F1 routes in accordance with National Grid requirementsOversee civil works including:Draw pit constructionExcavation worksHV duct installationShuttering and concrete pouring for gas trolley pathsEnsure all works are completed safely and to the required quality standardsRequirements:National Grid Competent Person - NSI 6 and 8 Full (Essential)Previous experience working on live National Grid substationsStrong understanding of National Grid safety procedures and documentationExperience overseeing civil engineering activities within substationsExcellent communication and leadership skillsIf you''re a fully authorised National Grid Competent Person looking for your next contract, we''d like to hear ..... full job details .....
