Do you want to use performance, songwriting, and creative expression to build confidence, resilience, and positive futures for young people in custody?We are recruiting for a passionate Music Tutor to join the dedicated Education, Skills and Work team at HMYOI on a part-time basis (3 days per week). In this deeply rewarding role, you will deliver engaging, inclusive music learning programmes that inspire young learners, help them channel their emotional expression, and equip them with essential life and academic skills aligned with their resettlement goals. What You Will Be DoingEngaging Delivery: Plan and deliver progressive, high-quality music sessions that "teach to the top," stretching and challenging learners across performance, composition, technical skills, and teamwork.Embedded Core Skills: Naturally embed reading (lyric analysis, script work), Maths and English (rhythm, timing, counting, sequencing), and restorative practice principles directly into creative projects.Inclusive Support: Adapt learning to support young people with diverse needs, including neurodiversity, trauma backgrounds, and low prior attainment or literacy levels.Accreditation and Showcases: Prepare learners for accredited ..... full job details .....
