Role: Music Therapist Location: Waltham Forest Hours: Dependant on candidates availability Are you a passionate Music Therapist looking to make a real impact? We are recruiting for a creative and dedicated therapist to work across two specialist SEN schools within a highly supportive multi-academy trust.This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, sensory impairments, and complex learning needs, using music as a powerful therapeutic tool.Hours are determind based of the candidates for the roles availability. The Role:Deliver 1:1 and group music therapy sessions aligned with EHCP targetsSupport pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social developmentWork closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider multidisciplinary teamsUse music to de-escalate behaviour and support engagement in learningTrack, monitor, and report on student progressCreate a safe, inclusive, and engaging therapeutic environmentIdeal Candidate:Qualified Music Therapist (HCPC registered or equivalent)Experience within SEN / SEMH / specialist settingsStrong understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practiceConfident supporting pupils with complex needs and communication barriersCreative, adaptable, and patient approachStrong communication and teamwork skills If you''re passionate about supporting young people and want to make a real difference in education, we''d love to hear from you.
