Salary: £160 - £250 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Hexham that is looking to appoint a dedicated Music Teacher. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential and staff are valued and supported throughout their careers.

The school is looking to appoint a Music Teacher on a long-term basis from September 2026. The successful Music Teacher will deliver engaging Music lessons across the secondary age range, supporting students to develop their practical and theoretical understanding while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.

The successful Music Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Music specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Music within UK secondary schools
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
