We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher looking to make a significant impact on students'' musical education and creative development. The successful candidate will join a supportive team with excellent resources and facilities, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Music lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4


  • Develop students'' musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for a variety of musical genres


  • Monitor and report on students'' progress, providing constructive feedback


  • Encourage participation in musical performances, ensembles, and extracurricular activities


  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating classroom environment


  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events


  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and school concerts


Ideal Candidate:



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Music


  • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and vocal training is desirable


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities


  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning


  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable to change
