A well-resourced and creative secondary school in Slough is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join their vibrant Performing Arts department from September. The role involves teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students through a blend of practical and theoretical learning. There will also be opportunities to contribute to school performances, lead ensembles, and incorporate music technology into the curriculum.
About the Role:
- Deliver dynamic and engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Music
- Support students in developing instrumental proficiency, performance confidence, and a broad appreciation of music
- Incorporate music technology to enhance composition and production skills
- Lead and inspire extracurricular activities such as choir, band, or music production clubs
- Plan and coordinate concerts, assemblies, and whole-school performance events
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Music at the secondary level
- Confident in delivering both practical and theoretical music lessons
- Strong understanding of the GCSE Music curriculum and proficiency with music technology tools (e.g. GarageBand, Sibelius, Logic Pro)
- Skilled in at least one instrument and able to support students in preparing for performances
