Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton to recruit a passionate and skilled Music Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time teaching role continuing until December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position.
This opportunity is ideal for a creative and dynamic teacher who is dedicated to delivering an engaging and diverse Music curriculum. You will join a collaborative department and play an active role in developing students'' musical abilities, confidence, and appreciation through practical and theoretical learning.
We welcome applications from qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and unqualified candidates with substantial experience in music education at the secondary level.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Teach a wide range of musical genres and integrate both performance and theory into the curriculum.
Encourage and support students in developing their instrumental, vocal, and compositional skills.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning.
Contribute to the wider musical life of the school by supporting or leading extracurricular activities, such as choirs, ensembles, concerts, and productions.
