Supply Desk are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Maidstone from September 2025. We are working with one of our partner schools in Maidstone that offer an exciting broad curriculum to cater to all needs and interests, and staff really focus on delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. The mixed secondary school are looking for someone on a full-time basis, until at least July 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging music lessons that align with the secondary curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and motivated to participate.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, providing additional support or extension activities as required.
- Assess student progress through various methods and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their learning goals.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and collaborate to support student development.
- Use innovative teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to enhance learning and keep students engaged.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events to contribute to the school community.
Requirements:
- Bachelorandrsquo;s degree in Education or relevant subject, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching KS3-5 music, ideally in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
- An inclusive, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all students have access to a high-quality education.
